The 'Perk Configuration' tab is an important point of consideration. Within Recognition, managers and admins are able to award perks against recognitions that they deem impressive enough to warrant award. Each manager and admin is allocated a certain number of points to award for a certain period of time (both set by yourself). So, it is important to have had internal discussions beforehand as to your monthly/quarterly budget before coming in and completing this section.
Conversion Rate
£1 = xx points
Perks are awarded in points, and a client sets the conversion rate to determine the value of a point. In the above example, £1 = 1 point. It could just as easily be set to £1 = 100 points (i.e. 1 point = 1 pence) or anything else. All perks will have an equivalent points/cash value.
Perk Limits
Perks are more valuable if they are rarer than social recognition. Setting limits will keep your perks exceptional and prevent you from accidentally blowing your annual recognition budget in the first month. You can also keep them relevant by stopping managers recognising activities that happened ages ago.
You can set limits for managers based on:
- Value & reset frequency (e.g. a manager can award up to 100 points every calendar month)
- Created Date (e.g. a manager can only award recognitions created in the last month)
There are no limits for recognition administrators as they may need to add extra awards throughout the year, or on behalf of other people.
